Agent Spotlight: Tim Behe
About Tim Behe
We recently sat down with Tim Behe, one of the top producing agents at Spyglass, to find out how he left a bustling career in tech to become a real estate agent in his 40’s. We went over what does success means to each of us and he created a meaningful impact in his life and his business. For some it may be becoming the #1 agent in your market, for others it might be spending less time at work without comprising service or profit, or possibly it involves your personal or professional legacy. But for Tim, he honed in on processes to make his business to the maximum efficiency and accountability groups to quantify progress through tracking his commitments. We also speak about his aspirations and goals for the upcoming year and how he is going to go about them. We're so proud of all your hard work, Tim!

I have always been heavy on the buyer side. And I think I do prefer that because of the opportunity to build that relationship. Really, it seems that buyers get more enjoyment when you find that right house. Most of the people I work with are first time homebuyers, just the area that I work in. So I think I get a little more enjoyment helping them find that right house instead of selling somebody's house. So that's just what I prefer. One thing that I learned quickly in my career is not taking it personal no matter what the other agent is saying or the other sellers. The other part the other clients, not take it personal because they don't know me. So I think that just keeping a level head and just sometimes just sitting back thinking about what their how their responses are coming in and then be reacted to that.

So homebuyers that are looking to move to Austin, they really need to engage with an agent for so many reasons, one, just knowing the area. There are so few properties that are on the market inventory have been low for such a long time. Having an agent that is really part of an area and always communicating with other agents off-market properties are super important rather than just coming in, going on a Zillow search or just doing it on their own instead of engaging with an agent that can actually help enhance their Austin homebuying experience. It's just that important.

Tim was a pleasure to work with. My husband and I are new to Austin, and Tim went above and beyond by touring the homes before we arrived. He helped us narrow down our list to find the perfect home and neighborhood to suit our needs.Tim made the home buying process seamless and stress free. As first time homebuyers, my husband and I were clueless, but Tim was an absolute lifesaver throughout the whole process. He showed us at least two dozen homes and provided great advice about neighborhoods and features we should look for. We found our dream home nearly two months before we had the money to close and he miraculously helped us secure it. He even helped us move some furniture. I would recommend him again and again! -Jacqui Calloway
Tim Behe was a great realtor to work with when buying our home in South Austin! He is incredibly quick and efficient with communication (email and text) and works hard to find houses that fit your needs/specifications. I would recommend working with Tim Behe to anyone considering buying a home in the Austin area. - Tiffany Winters
I couldn't be happier with my home buying experience working with Tim! As someone who has had poor experiences with realtors in the past, it was great to work with someone who just gets it. Tim knew the area very well, didn't waste my time with properties that didn't meet my requirements, and I always felt he was my advocate until the very end. I'm happy to refer him to friends, and he'll be the first guy I call if I ever need to buy/sell again. - jdmclemore
As we were buying our first home, Tim was a huge support system. It was our conversation with him that made us feel confident and ready to purchase our home and take that step. Throughout the process, he was always providing insightful suggestions that we wouldn't have known to think of without him. The best part is that he's very responsive and fun to work with. Highly recommend Tim with all my confidence! - Lauren Aldana
