Zilker Metropolitan Park is a 350-acre park is one of the best family attractions in South Austin. It is home to the spring-fed Barton Springs Pool. Aside from swimming, hiking and biking are allowed in the area. You can also find a playground and a botanical garden and stroll on the trail along with your friends or family.

Barton Springs is located within the grounds of Zilker Park is one of the most popular swimming spots in Austin. The recreational outdoor swimming pool is filled with water from the main Barton Spring. It has also become a habitat for wildlife that is federally protected. Up to this day, visitors in the area are near to 800,000 every year.

Don’t miss out snapping an Instagrammable photo in front of the iconic Greetings from Austin mural. The mural can be found at South 1st outside popular artist, Todd Sander’s studio. It features the city’s landmarks such as the Congress Avenue Bridge, The University of Texas Tower, and Barton Springs.
