Zilker Metropolitan Park is a 350-acre park is one of the best family attractions in South Austin. It is home to the spring-fed Barton Springs Pool. Aside from swimming, hiking and biking are allowed in the area. You can also find a playground and a botanical garden and stroll on the trail along with your friends or family.
Barton Springs is located within the grounds of Zilker Park is one of the most popular swimming spots in Austin. The recreational outdoor swimming pool is filled with water from the main Barton Spring. It has also become a habitat for wildlife that is federally protected.
