Most of Bouldin Creek Austin's neighborhood’s growth occurred in the 1920s and 30s. Lots tend to be smaller and contain bungalows, many of which have been renovated. As with most burgeoning neighborhoods, there is also a construction boom resulting in more modern-looking homes.

There are more than 2,700 households and 5,700 residents in the area, which includes Auditorium Shores, the Long Center for the Performing Arts, and the Lester E. Palmer Community Events Center. Residents can walk or bicycle among tall oak trees to the Barton Creek Greenbelt, the hike-and-bike trail to Town Lake, Barton Springs, and Zilker Park. Despite being just south of downtown Austin, Bouldin Creek remains a quiet,  safe residential neighborhood.

Bouldin Creek neighborhood is home to several enthusiasts, creatives, and artists. The workmanship is currently thriving in local businesses which also adds more life to the community.
