A Thoughtfully Designed Home for the Discerning Buyer
Originally built in the 1950's as an 850 square foot single story home, this house was rebuilt, updated and added onto in 2013, bringing the size to 2,509 square feet. Built atop of a hill, the house is three stories with accompanying outdoor spaces at each level. Layout and various entrances allows for privacy within and outside of the home - the current home owners use part of the house for short-term rentals.
In 2015 Austin based Mark Ashby Design and David Wilson Garden Designs further revisioned and elevated the interior and exterior of this home to include eye-catching wallpapers, modern finishes, built-in shelving, drought resistant gardens and outdoor living spaces.
The master suite was renovated by the current owner to create a more harmonious, efficient space. His and hers vanities and a large well-organized walk-in closet make the morning routine a breeze. Watch the sunrise on your private terrace. The rain shower is the perfect day to unwind at the end of the day, and the in-room mini-fridge stores your bubbly for an evening in.
Guest Space, Nursery or Short Term Rental
The second wing of the house features a split level living space. A separate entrance makes this an ideal guest room or short-term rental. The space would also be an ideal place for a nanny or night nurse to live upstairs of a nursery.
Tech-Enabled and Well Maintained
Wired for Google Fiber, the home has a connected internet, TV, AV and air conditioning system with RTI smart home systems. The front yard is wired for outdoor speakers and a fire pit. Two tankless hot water heaters provide heat and two AC systems cool the different levels of the home.
Private Outdoor Living Spaces
This home features three levels of outdoor living spaces designed by David Wilson Garden Designs. The front yard was extended and sodded in 2013 and a grassy knoll acts as a natural privacy fence. Additionally, the front yard is piped with speakers and a gas line for a fire pit. Current owners enjoy entertaining in the front yard but use the breezeway or the third yard for enjoying their morning coffee.
The breezeway on the second level provides a shaded, ever cool fully fenced in area. The perfect spot for having a cocktail on a warm evening.
The third yard is perfect for enjoying a lazy afternoon, a built-in hammock beneath the oak tree is the perfect place to read a book. This third outdoor space is accessible from the master suite as well as the second wing of the house.
